There is Healing in His Wings

One of the great privileges of being called to the original Hebrew language of the writers of God’s Word is to know that the Lord Himself calls you to uncover hidden treasure in His Word.

The Lesson of ~ The Healing in His Wings is one of the dearest lessons I have ever taught as a Scribe for the Lord.  When we recount the journey into the lesson from Malachi 3:20-4:2, we will begin to understand how deep and wide the Hebrew language is, as it teaches the lessons from the Torah to us today.  We who now walk out our faith in what may be the last generation before the Great Tribulation, must consider His Word in the original language of the writers of the Bible, in order to learn the deepest lessons hidden for us, for a time such as this.

“But to you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will break out leaping, like calves released from the stall.” (Malachi 3:20-4:2 CJB)

The Hebrew word for wings is kanaphim.  This is the same Hebrew word used when referring to the edge of the Tallit or prayer shawl.  There was healing in the TALLIT of MESSIAH!  There was healing in His wings!  What a treasure to uncover when praying to the Lord for intercessory healing for others or for ourselves.  By faith, we now can reach out for the fringe of His garment, the Lord’s Tallit, where there is power to be unleashed by our invocation.

In the days when Yeshua walked the earth, he wore two garments every day, as was the custom for Jewish men.  He wore the Haluk or linen under-garment, and the Tallit, which hung on his shoulders as an outer shawl over the Haluk.  The Tallit was very long, reaching almost to the ground when hanging upon the shoulders of the Messiah.  Attached to the four corners of the Tallit were long, woolen threads called Tzitzit, which were knotted. The Tzitzit threads were considered to be personal reminders to the wearer, of the Torah every moment of every day.

Where is the hidden treasure here?  It is in the language of the Lord!  In Luke 8:43-48 we read,

“As he went, with the crowd on every side virtually choking him, a woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone, came up behind him and touched the tzitzit on his robe; instantly her hemorrhaging stopped.  Yeshua asked, “Who touched me?”  When they all denied doing it, Kefa said, “Rabbi!  The crowd are hemming you in and jostling you!”  But Yeshua said, “Someone did touch me, because I felt power go out of me.”  Seeing she could not escape notice, the woman quaking with fear, threw herself down before him and confessed in front of everyone why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.  He said to her, “My daughter, your trust has saved you; go in peace.” (Luke 8:43-48 CJB)

This daughter of the Lord believed in the power of His Word.  It was her FAITH that reached out to touch the Tzitzit of the Tallit of the Messiah!  By her faith, she was made whole again.

This is the lesson of ~ The Healing in His Wings; His Tallit!  I hope the deep Hebrew truths in these ancient words of the Lord bring healing, wholeness, and Shalom to you, dear friend.

  4. Although our loving Father is always with us – in us – beside us – behind us and ahead of us, we simply do not always see Him. Faith assures me that He has never and will never leave me, but as a mere mortal (for now) I can admit that I don’t always feel His presence. This is when He blesses me with a physical gift by way of a sibling in Christ.
You, my sweet friend and sister – Sydney, are a God appointed gift in my life! Thank you for all of the strength, direction, unconditional acceptance, humble encouragement, prophetic words, safe passage and love you have given me over the years. I am deeply grateful!
